Remarks : A deep water route is a route in a designated area, within defined limits, which has been accurately surveyed for clearance of sea bottom and submerged obstacles to a minimum indicated depth of water (IHO Dictionary, S-32, 5th Edition, 1280). The complete deep water route consists of one or more parts depending on the shape of the deep water route. The orientation of the route part is defined by the middle line of the part relating to the general direction of the deep water route. Additional information can be found in IHO Technical Resolution A1.17.
