A tidal stream (or tidal current) is an alternating horizontal movement of water associated with the rise and fall of the tide caused by tide-producing forces (IHO Dictionary, S-32, 5th Edition, 1169). The object 'tidal stream - harmonic prediction' encodes parameters for use when predicting tidal streams by harmonic methods. The supplier of any parameters must be consulted on how to use data provided using this object class, and which calculation algorithms to use with the data.
