A high pressure sub-surface pipeline (usually on the sea floor) with holes emitting a curtain of air bubbles. Its uses include: the prevention of acoustic transmission through the water; preventing the spread of surface debris or floating liquids; controlling the movement of fish. Also known as a pneumatic pipe or “bubbler”.
